Introduction to zip repairs - Thursday 6th February
Join us at our workshop in Y Felinheli for an introduction to all things zip repair on Thursday 6th February 5.15pm - 7.15pm
Our number one repair request is always zips, but there are plenty of DIY tips and tricks you can use at home to keep your gear going for longer.
In this 2 hour workshop, we will look at types of zips and their uses, tools for zip repairs, and the most common issues we see. We’ll run through how to diagnose your zip issues, how to replace a slider on a variety of items and some top tips for zipper care.
This workshop is suitable for gear nerds looking to learn more about mending their own kit and how it’s put together.
All materials will be provided, we will be using samplers, but feel free to bring your own item of clothing or outdoor gear to mend (ideally something with a broken zip!). Please note we will not be fully replacing zips in this workshop.
Tea and coffee will be available during the workshop
We recommend bringing items needing small repairs, or something you are happy to practice on
For directions please visit our contact page, or if you have any questions concerning classes drop us an email
