Heat patches, seam sealing and glue repairs for outdoor gear - Thursday 30th January
Join us at our workshop in Y Felinheli for an introduction to tape and glue repairs on Thursday 30th January 5.15pm - 7.15pm
Welcome to the scientific side of outdoor gear repair. Glues and tapes are a great way to keep your gear going for longer. And even better, they require very little equipment so are a perfect DIY to try at home!
In this 2 hour workshop, we will look at types of tapes and glues and their uses on a variety of fabrics. We’ll run through our heat press, use an iron to apply seam tape and a heat patch.
This workshop is suitable for gear nerds looking to learn more about mending their own kit and how it’s put together.
All materials will be provided, we will be using samplers, but feel free to bring your own item of clothing or outdoor gear to mend. We recommend outer layers such as insulated or waterproof jackets or salopettes.
Tea and coffee will be available during the workshop
We recommend bringing items needing small repairs, or something you are happy to practice on
For directions please visit our contact page, or if you have any questions concerning classes drop us an email
