Join us at our workshop in Y Felinheli for an introduction to the basics of repairing by hand.
Hand sewing and darning are some of the simplest ways to repair your own gear. Although not to be underestimated!
In this 4 hour workshop we will look at the basics of both hand sewing and darning. Including:
- Needle, thread and wool types
- 2 hand sewing stitches and how to use them for the most common repairs we see
- A basic woven darn
- How to tackle common repairs, plus our top tips and tricks!
This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate sewing/knitting enthusiasts looking to learn more about mending.
All materials will be provided, just bring your own item of clothing or outdoor gear to mend. We recommend bringing items needing small repairs, or something you are happy to practice on
